Archiving Memories

An exploration of Memory through Recording and Representation.

Katherine Rushton is an artist, filmmaker and teacher based in Manchester. She specialises in artists books, experimental films and animation using both traditional and non-traditional methods. Katherine has exhibited on several occasions in Manchester where she was also short listed for the Exposures film festival at the Cornerhouse. She has a selection of her books in the collection at the Kenneth Green library and currently teaches at The Manchester College.

During her MA in Sequential Design and Illustration she has explored the idea of archiving memories. Through recording peoples recollections and representing them in a visual way Katherine has compiled a collection of memories that people from all walks of life can relate to and reflect on.
